Positions are also available on the 2025-26 Board of Directors, and while nominations officially closed yesterday, there may still be vacancies if anyone is interested.
On course, last Thursday was a four-person ambrose won by Linda Brant, Leanne Landy, Sacha Free and Wendy Pearce with net 58, from runners-up Pauline Davis, Carol Hardman, Yvonne Holmes and Prue Chalmers on 59.75.
Saturday was stableford, with Troy Grant firing a sub-par round to win A-grade with 40 points from runner-up Kerran Leetham 38. B-grade winner was Jen Choice on 38 from runner-up Prue Lloyd 36, and C-grade Wayne Rothwell 38 on countback to Sarah Aitken.
There were three grades in Wednesday’s stableford event. Frank Conallin had 40 points to win A-grade from runner-up Ben Christmas on 39, B-grade winner was Albert Liebenberg with 40 points from runner-up David Connolly 38, and C-grade winner was John Metcalfe with 40 points on countback to Jaxon O’Donnell.
On Monday, a small contingent travelled to Kialla Golf Club for the final round of Goulburn Valley Veterans Golf Association competition for 2025, and the Christmas luncheon. Performing well on the day were John Radeski who won A-grade NTP, and ball comp winners Peter Oddy, Graeme Willoughby and Ian Campbell.
The GV Vets 2025 championship winners were also announced, following three rounds played in October and November. Congratulations to Graeme ‘Recka’ Willoughby, who was announced the 2025 A-grade champion.
And a belated congrats to John Wacheke who teamed up with ‘Recka’ to win the recent final of our annual Nisbet fourball knockout event.
Coming up we have stroke for the monthly medals tomorrow, then 9 holes stableford on Tuesday, stableford on Wednesday and Thursday, and versus par next Saturday.
The club is delighted that Flagstick Bistro is up and running and encourages members to support this initiative. It is currently open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with an extensive menu. In opening week, there is a 10 per cent discount for members.
And don’t forget Friday Night Fun continues tonight with happy hour from 6pm and raffle tickets also on sale from 6pm with draws from 7pm.
