The group is hosting a special Kyabram themed dress-up for its event on Saturday, October 3, featuring an unusual track-side rival: the Wyuna Steam Club engine.
Participants are encouraged to wear anything that represents their connection to Kyabram, in celebration of the town’s 150th birthday.
Co-event director Sarah Langley said she encouraged participants to wear anything that was important to them, whether representing their sports club, school, business or community group to show off their pride in Kyabram.
Ms Langley said that with the group having only launched in March, it was really special to be involved in the town’s celebrations.
“It's such a great way for people to come together, use whatever they’re wearing as a talking point, get some exercise, and celebrate what it means to be part of such a great town,” she said.
Participants are asked to arrive at 7.45am for a welcome briefing ahead of the 8am start from the Allan St end of the Breen Avenue Walking Track.
The event is free to all participants wanting to run, jog or walk.
