Even at 100 years of age, Jean Sutton is a wonder. Jean celebrated her birthday in style with her gentle exercise class friends recently. Her actual birthday was on August 13 and she is still living independently. When asked what her secret was to making it to 100 she said “I’m as surprised as you I got this far”. Her friends made sure she celebrated well with two big birthday cakes so there was plenty for everyone. She also received flowers and gifts and enjoyed a morning tea. As a bonus she may have been the first Deniliquin resident to receive a letter from the King, which she was very impressed with. Jean Sutton celebrated her 100th birthday.
