The beautiful sunshine, a slight breeze and the scent of holidays in the air has lured families out to explore all the fun activities that Deniliquin has on offer.

The Deniliquin Pastoral Times caught up with some families exploring the activities at Scott’s Park Deniliquin on Friday.

Lauren Middlemiss and Jamie Counsell took children Maya, 1, Grayson, 3, and 13 year-old Hadrian to the park to have fun on their bikes and scooters as well as the activities on offer.

It is just one of a long list of fun activities the family hope to enjoy during the holiday period.

“We spent Christmas at my mum’s swimming and enjoying family, and we had a reasonably quiet New Year’s,” Lauren said.

“We have loved spending time with the kids and the park is full of fun things for them to do.”

Also enjoying some playtime in the park was Melanie Kennedy with her children Liam, 2, and Thomas, 5.

She said the key was getting out in the mornings, before the temperature gets too high.

After a full start to the new year, she said slowing down with some park time was just the ticket.

“We were away visiting family for Christmas and we had a wedding on New Year’s Eve, so it’s been quite busy,” she said.
