Deniliquin-based members of the Echuca Murray Country Women’s Authority have a sweet offer for the local community.
Blessed with a healthy bunch of strawberry plant seedlings this year, pots will be sold to raise money for charity.
Deniliquin-based member Dale Rose said the charity theme of choice for the CWA this year is domestic violence initiatives, but that proceeds form the sale of the seedlings could go to any of the groups the CWA supports.
The Echuca Murray CWA has been offered a stall at the next Naponda Farmers’ Market to sell the seedlings.
The farmers’ markets are held in the Deniliquin CBD on the second Saturday of each month, with the next falling on October 14.
“We’ll have at least three members manning the stall, and the strawberries are looking rather beautiful at the moment,” Mrs Rose said.
