You’ve responded so well to the Fish of the Week snippets in December, we’ve decided to expand it.
No longer will we only have one Fish of the Week, but we’ll aim to bring you a few highlight catches each week.
This week, we feature two success stories from the festive period.
Christmas Day was a cracker for Noelly Atkinson.
As well as being his 10th birthday, he landed himself a new personal best Murray cod of 80cm.
He reeled it in all by himself, and used chicken as bait.
Nicholas Lockhart landed this 110cm cod near Four Post Camp.
It was caught on the Edward River, but the exact location was not shared.
Our other highlight catch this week is Nicholas Lockhart’s 110cm Murray cod caught on the Edward near Four Post Camp.
His bait of choice? Cheese.
Notable mentions for this week: Jesse Jervis - 45.7cm cod caught on cheese in a secret spot on the Edward River; Jett Boyer - 53cm cod caught near Werai.
