Gatacre was using a mix of cheese and yabbies as bait, a combination that clearly paid off.
He plans to fillet and crumb the catch, rounding off a successful outing on the water.
Estee Gatacre revealed Nick had been having a tough time on the water before his success, prompting discussions about what the best cheese to use. Parmesan was among the options tried.

We also re-feature young Noelly Atkinson this week.
In last week’s column we revealed he achieved a new personal best of 80cm, which he smashed with a standout 99cm Murray cod in Deniliquin on Friday using double yabbies.
It was actually his third personal best in the space of two weeks.
While he’s not yet got that magic 1m mark, his dad proudly reminded him 99cm is “rarer than a metre”.
This has promoted comments on social media that the Atkinsons might be “the most honest fishermen around”.
In a twist of luck, the family also recently recaptured a 61cm cod they’d released through the Edward Kolety Fishing Challenge’s ‘Sponsor a Cod’ category, recognising it by its distinct markings.
The boys have since named him ‘Cody the Cod’, hoping he stays in their favourite spot for many more visits.
