Operations and production manager Wes Bartlett said the business was founded by his father Keith Bartlett in 1977, and moved to Napier St in the early 1980s.
The third generation of the family has recently come on board in the business, with Wes’ son Toby recently starting an apprenticeship.
Wes joined the business in 1998/99 as a machinist specialist.
The business offers services in repairing all types of agricultural machinery and beyond and are experts in levelling and levelling equipment.
This includes KB Engineering’s development of a soil levelling machine now known as the KB Grader Board (commonly known as a Smudger Board).
KB Engineering are also the exclusive manufacturers of the KB Rotacon Leveller, which has a worldwide patent.
The KB Engineering machines can be found working successfully in every farming region throughout Australia, further confirming their claim to extreme durability and versatility.
The KB Grader Board is also exported to the Middle East, Egypt, Sudan, Tanzania and United States with KB Engineering having sold more than 1000 levelling machines worldwide.
“Export is a bit of a key to the general business, but we service a large area locally and send to further abroad,” Wes said.
