Her $10-a-ticket concert offer has garnered so much attention across the country she has agreed to do five shows, instead of just one.
But she is drawing out the announcement process, revealing one location each night this week.
Deniliquin missed out on the first three announcements.
Announcement number four took place last night after the Pastoral Times went to print, about 7pm, and the final announcement is expected to be made about the same time tonight.
Deniliquin’s lead campaigner Dakota McKenzie has been ramping up momentum with amazing support from the community, hammering social media with new posts regularly.
Learning from successful campaigns so far, they’ve been tailored to entice the artist by promising an enthusiastic crowd and a chance to enjoy all the facilities, services and business offers Deniliquin has to offer at the same time.
But Dakota’s underlying message has never changed.
She believes a Tones And I performance is the kind of “uplift” the community needs - especially students - after Deniliquin High School was largely destroyed by fire in November.
“The students and staff of Deniliquin High School are about to step foot back onto the school site for the first time since a deliberately lit fire on November 29,” Dakota said in a video update to campaign supporters, and to Tones And I.
“This campaign has brought us together, and has already been so uplifting.
“Everyone coming together and showing love and support has boosted our morale and inspired us to achieve what we want.
“Tones and I, you and your music have the capability to bring us together as a community and give some light in the darkness.
“Please choose Deniliquin as one of your five shows. We love you.”
At the time of going to print yesterday, the ‘Bring Tones n I to Deni for DHS - 20th Feb’ Facebook page had more than 1700 likes and followers, and has had almost 400,000 page views since the camapaign started.
Community members are encouraged to like the page and interact with posts to help with the visibility of the Deniliquin campaign.
