About 10.30pm Saturday, police were called to a licensed premises in Cressy St, Deniliquin in relation to a report of a stealing and an assault.
A 50 year-old man suffered minor injuries, and reports to have had an amount of cash taken.
A few hours later, about 2am Sunday, police were called to a house in Russell St, Deniliquin.
On arrival, police discovered a 41 year-old man with facial injuries.
He was taken to hospital to be treated and assessed.
Police spoke with a number of other people who were at the house, and police investigations are ongoing.

Trespasser reported
About 11.40pm Sunday, police received reports of a person trespassing in the rear yard of a unit block in Maher St, Deniliquin.
A male described as being in his mid-30s was seen in the area, and was wearing a black hoodie, pants and baseball cap, and carrying a torch.

Rider injuried
A 19 19 year-old man was taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon following a motorcycle crash on a dirt road.
Emergency services were called about 1.30pm to a crown reserve near the Cobb Highway/Moulamein Rd at Pretty Pine.
Drink drive suspension
A 34 year-old man has had his licence suspended and is to appear in court on alleged charges of drink driving.
Police allege the man returned a reading of 0.146 after being stopped driving on the Riverina Highway, Deniliquin about 12.55am Saturday.
This resulted in a charge of mid-range prescribed content of alcohol.
