The RSL Diggers had two wins in the Campaspe Bowls pennant competition on Saturday with Division 2 winning at home against Tongala and Division 3 victorious at home to Echuca.
Division 4 lost to Moama on their home greens.
RSL Division 2 had a narrow win by only three shots against Tongala, 60-57.
Linda Harris with lead Danny Stanmore, Linday Dalzell and Ian McKenzie were in front for the majority of the day and leading 18-15 on the 19th end, but they conceded a three on the penultimate end to then see Tongala grab a three on the final end to get up by two shots overall, 20-18.
Craig Taylor (s), Jenny Tonta, Ken Bowden and (sub) Tim Dover also featured in a close struggle.
Scores fluctuated all day and with one end to play the scores were locked at 18 all. Tongala scored a final end three to take the rink, 21-18.
The difference for RSL was the rink comprising Tony Tonta (s), Gary Koopman, Brian Clancy and Gary Hulm.
They took the lead in their match on the 14th end and led 14-13.
From that point they controlled proceedings, taking 10 shots over the remaining ends for a decisive victory 24-16.
The healthy margin ensured a win for the Diggers over the three rinks.
In Division 3 against Mathoura the Diggers won on two rinks for a slender two shot overall win 63-61.
Tony King (s), James Rhook, Peter Thommers and Alan Hodges were leading comfortably 22-7 after 17 ends but Mathoura staged a great fightback to take 10 shots over the final four ends to reduce the margin dramatically to just five shots, 22-17.
Neville Austin (s), Peter Todd, Cheryl Bradley and Peter Thommers were always in control on their rink and led 25-9 after 16 ends.
They stopped to a walk for the remainder of the game with Mathoura taking the final five ends and 10 shots, but the Diggers still took the game by seven shots, 25-18.
Ron Marchetti (s), Jim Jennings, Sandra Hill and Jake Glenn had a tough day on the greens, only registering a single shot up until the 13th end.
They fought back to add some respectability but were unable to make any real inroads and went down by 10 shots overall, 26-16.
Jake Glenn, in his return game, led beautifully all day.
In Division 4 against Moama RSL had one rink and a draw but still went down overall with a heavy defeat on one green, 72-44.
Miro Peterman (s), Archie Webster, Tyler Hillier and Glenys Chessells were never in the contest on their rink.
They did not register a score until the 14th end to trail 1-31 and only managed to register a further four singles for the day to lose 34-5.
Wayne Bradley (s), Ian Chessells, Callan Glenn and Darcy Nilsson led 19-10 at the 14th end with Darcy Nilsson and Callan Glenn bowling beautifully.
However a lapse in concentration over the remainder of the match by the Diggers saw Moama storm home with 12 shots over the remaining ends to claim a draw, 22-22.
Bruce Clancy (s), Graeme Gordon, Gaye Goodwin and Niels Hilton always held the advantage on their rink.
Despite a late challenge for Moama they held on for a great win by two shots, 17-15.
