The Rhinos won the toss and elected to bat first and put runs on the scoreboard in the final.
Opener Darcy Finn made 16 before being bowled and Henry Pisasale was caught for 14 adding double-digit scores for the Rhinos top-order.
Kywahn Button was the top-scorer for the Rhinos, batting through from the ninth over, making 30 not out.
He received good support from Tom Marshall who was caught for 13, while Jobe Unwin was the other remaining batter, finishing with four not out.
The Rhinos got through their 40 overs on Saturday against a tough bowling attack, finishing with 9/91.
Returning on the Sunday, looking to defend their total, the Rhinos kept Barooga’s scoring down for the first six overs.
They then found wickets, both bowled, first by Jacob Holschier and the second by George Marshall.
However, from there Barooga’s Kohen Haddrell did most of the damage, scoring 59 not out from 28 balls.
The Rhinos couldn’t stem the flow of runs as Barooga chased down the score to finish 2/93 from 14.3 overs.
This saw Barooga win by eight wickets and progress to the under-15s grand final this weekend at Cobram, knocking out the Rhinos who had a promising season finishing third in the home and away season.
