Murray Local Land Services will host a preseason cropping update in Finley on March 18, where landholders can hear expert speakers share local research, insights, and challenges for winter cropping.
Held at the Finley RS Club from 8.30am, the presentation will include an update on the Southern Growers 2025 Finley cropping trials results.
Greg Condon from Grassroots Agronomy will speak on challenging and improving farming systems at the whole farm scale to establish diverse farms.
Brad Baxter from NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development will present on cereal disease updates and considerations, and a herbicide resistance update will from Charles Sturt University’s John Broster.
Also from the NSW DPIRD, Mathew Dunn will present on the topic ‘legumes, nitrogen and profit: lessons after seven years of farming systems research in southern NSW’.
