2025 Wakool Show shearing, shearing will return for the 2026 show.
The Wakool Show is set to return this Saturday, March 28, with organisers reporting strong interest across several sections as preparations ramp up for another full day of country show entertainment.

Show secretary Hayley Pattison said the pavilion is shaping up well, with locals eager to get their entries in.
And there are plenty of other attractions to keep people of all ages entertained, she hinted.
“We have a bit of interest for the pavilion,” she said, noting that a few modern classes have been added this year to help “get people excited”.
The new sections generating interest include the bogged photo category.
The picture of a bogged vehicle will be judged on the severity of the bog, not photographic skill.
The Lego exhibits is another of the new and modern pavilion categories drawing interest.
Entries can be made on the day up, until 11.30am Saturday, and for those unable to travel, arrangements can be made to drop entries off at Pattison Pastoral Butchery at 346 Victoria St, Deniliquin.
The horse program is also expected to be huge again, with organisers expecting healthy numbers despite some concerns around fuel costs.
Other livestock and rural sections will add to the day.
A highlight of the evening program will be the Horse vs Man vs Horsepower challenge.
This is a crowd‑pleasing race between a horse, a runner, and a motorbike around the barrel course.
Kids will compete from 5.30pm, with adults to follow at 7.30pm.
Live entertainment will also return, with Connor Bulger and Daniel Barrett performing during the night program.

Other show attractions will include a shearing competition, classic cars and fire truck displays, sheaf tossing and a sheep weight guessing competition.
And expect to see some colour and vibrancy thanks to the face painting.
A bar will be operating, and food options will be available.
Mrs Pattison said the committee is looking forward to welcoming the community back.
“We’re hoping the new sections and the interest we’ve seen so far help bring people out for a great day.”
Equestrian action will begin at 9am, with other show activities starting after the gates officially open at 4pm.
An official opening will be held at 6pm.
Tickets are $10 for adults, which is the same price as annual membership, which allows free entry on show day.
