Women of the Murray officially arrived in Jerilderie on Sunday, with the town hosting its first local catch-up, led by Jacqui Lawton.
Women of the Murray is a not-for-profit social enterprise and rural sisterhood that empowers women living across Victoria and NSW along the Murray River.
The organisation provides opportunities for women to build meaningful connections, develop leadership skills, foster supportive conversations and create lasting friendships within their local communities.
The inaugural Jerilderie gathering was warmly received, with a fantastic turnout and plenty of enthusiasm from those in attendance.
The relaxed morning provided an opportunity for local women to meet new people, share experiences and strengthen community connections.
Following the success of the first event, plans are already under way to establish regular catch-up sessions in Jerilderie, with further dates to be announced in the coming months.
