The relationship between ‘man’ and their dogs was put to the test at the Deniliquin Show at the weekend, in one of the event’s most anticipated events.

The Deniliquin Yard Dog Association took over a patch of the Memorial Park showgrounds for their annual trials, putting competitors through their paces in a number of sections.
Coming up against open section winners from the last two years - 2025 winner Dale Thomson with G Clay and 2024 winner Geoff McDougall with Ace - Bard Watts and dog Chilli managed to see out the competition for the most coveted win of the day.
Second was Aioha Doyle with Snip and Thomson and G Clay were third.
Mitch Jubb and HR Five placed fours, and McDougall and Ace rounded out the placings.
