Police are unable to confirm if a car that wound up in the Broken River on Sunday is the same one involved in a collision the afternoon before.

Shepparton police are investigating a collision between a silver BMW and a white Toyota Kluger at about 5.30pm on Saturday, June 14.
Witnesses reported seeing the vehicles collide at the intersection of Wyndham St and Kennedy Rd in Shepparton’s south, with the crash causing “significant damage” to the front passenger side of the silver car, police said.
The Kluger sustained damage to its rear right side.
Police are appealing for witnesses as they continue their investigation.
Police are unsure of how the vehicle came to be in the river.

In the meantime, a silver vehicle sits on the bed of the Broken River near the intersection of Colliver Rd and Broken River Dve.
Little more than its roof is visible above the water.
Broken River Dve residents say it appeared there in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The car was still in the river near the intersection of Colliver Rd and Broken River Dve on Monday morning.

Police said they reported the sunken sedan to Greater Shepparton City Council on Monday morning for removal.
