Queensland and Australia representative Brown has been in red-hot form, as have her teammates ahead of the home preliminary final with fierce derby rivals Brisbane on Sunday at Robina.
The 31-year-old said the side's current 10-game winning streak had a solid foundation after a "100 per cent buy-in" to coach Karyn Murphy's methodology before a ball had been kicked.
"We had an incredible camp out at Emu Gully near Toowoomba where we got absolutely 'effed' up. We were in six-foot trenches full of mud," Brown grinned.
"I could not move. I lost a shoe. Those moments you have got to stretcher your teammate on your shoulder and it is in those moments that those bonds are formed.
"When you are physically in the trenches together, footy is easy. Those memories from that have built a nice foundation we can build on throughout the year."
When Brown returned to rugby league in 2020 after a stint with the Australian rugby sevens program, she won two grand finals in two months - one for Burleigh in the state league and one in the NRLW with Sunday's opponents the Broncos.
"It teaches you ... gosh ... they don't come around too often and when they do you have got to make the most of them," she said.
In 2023 the Gold Coast-born Brown was one of six Titans in Sunday's team that lost 24-18 to Newcastle in the decider.
"As much as it hurt that we didn't win that one it was a huge lesson and a good education piece for a lot of our girls, myself included," she said.
"Three years later we are here with the ability to have another crack. I think it has only made us better. It lit the fire in our belly back then and it hasn't stopped."
The Titans have lost only once at home this year, in round one against the Roosters.
"It is our fortress. We love playing at our home," Brown said.
"I am so passionate about the club and the city. It's just got a different feeling when you are representing your friends and family in the stands that are all from the Gold Coast."
The pre-season camp set the standard. On the field Brown and her teammates have the connection and trust in each other.
"Off the field it was about having really honest conversations with each other, holding each other accountable and setting our standards right from the start," she said.
