Finals set for pool comp

By Jamie Lowe

The Deniliquin & District Pool Competition top six has been finalised, with the final round being played on Wednesday night last week.

Exchange finished the year as minor premiers following a thrilling tie-break win over Globe, 6-5.

The battle between both Zoo sides was also decided in a tie-break, with Zoo One the victors overs Zoo Two 6-5.

Pretty Pine finished the regular season on a high with a 6-4 win over Buncha Two, while Buncha One was handed a 10-0 forfeit due to Tatts pulling out of the competition.

Coach House, who finished sixth, had the bye.

There were no three game winners in round 18.

Finals will start next week on Wednesday, August 28.

The competition will be holding a meeting to determine finals venues at the 7.30pm tonight at the Globe.

Each team in finals - which includes Exchange, Zoo Two, Pretty Pine, Zoo One, Buncha Two and Coach House - will need a representative at the meeting.
