The MVCA went into the clash undefeated, however it was Shepparton that reigned supreme in a dominant 151 run win at Mooroopna.
The MVCA side — which featured Deni Rhinos juniors Kai and Charlie Hillier, Tom McCallum and Luke Rodda — lost the toss and were forced to bowl first.
Shepparton got off to a strong start and took control of game early, getting the score to 2/58.
A strong third wicket partnership of 115 by Reily Menhenett (75) and Josh Robertson (72) helped Shepparton to finish 5/243.
Kai Hillier finished with figures of 0/28 off nine, his brother Charlie was 0/33 off his six overs and Rodda had a tough day being 0/17 off his one over.
McCallum was impressive behind the stumps, safely gloving three catches for the day.
In their response MVCA did not get going.
Opening batsman Jack Andrew tried his hardest to give MVCA a chance but was caught on 19.
A late rally from Chase Hardwidge (25) got MVCA to 92 before losing their final wicket in the 34th over.
The Rhinos players struggled with the bat with McCallum (one), Kai (0) and Charlie (five) barely worrying the bowlers.
During the round robin, MVCA defeated Shepparton on day one, chasing down a target of 93 with 6/94 in a four-wicket win.
MVCA backed that up by recording 8/181 against Goulburn Murray on day two, before having their opponents all out for 165 after 41.3 overs in a thrilling 16 run win.
MVCA remained unbeaten in their third game on day three, dismissing Bendigo for a total of 134.
After an early collapse, with MVCA 4/28, Charlie Hillier (59 not out) and Jack Andrew (43 not out) led their side to victory, with MVCA finishing 4/135 after 31.1 overs.
