Croquet makes a return

Croquet players will be pleased to know that play has returned to the Deniliquin Lawn Tennis Club courts.

With Coronavirus restrictions lifted, 10 players will be allowed to play on the courts at the same time.

There will be no competition play at the moment, with social games only until further notice.

Strict social distancing, hand sanitising and washing of balls will apply.

The kitchen will also be completely out of bounds.

Allan and Megan Tonta will put the hoops in on Tuesday mornings and John and Mary James will pull them up on Monday afternoons.

It will be right to play for three hours on any day, seven days a week.

Most groups of four have been organised and will be contacting Meyerene Geldenhuys on 0456 980 023 to arrange suitable times to play.

Any pairs wishing to play singles must also contact Meyerene for a suitable time.

Once the club gets started there will be a roster on the noticeboard; everyone is asked to take notice of it and add their name to it.

It will be good to get back playing again. If you need a coffee break bring your own thermos.Â
