The Power will have a ‘‘home game’’ at their Gold Coast hub Metricon Stadium against the Eagles.
Port Adelaide will go into the clash full of confidence after a 3-0 start to the year, with two of their wins being at Metricon Stadium.
Marshall, a former Deniliquin Rams junior, is fresh off a 29 point win against Fremantle in a game where the Power trailed at quarter-time.
A dominant second term steered Port to victory, piling on 5.4 to no score in a heavy downpour to earn the win.
West Coast on the other hand are in a form slump, losing their past two encounters against Gold Coast and Brisbane respectively.
The Eagles look far from a side that was dubbed as a premiership threat before the season and will head into the clash as underdogs.
Despite this, Marshall said his side will head into the clash wary of West Coast.
‘‘We’ve been building some good momentum, but each week is a different challenge and we’ve got two tough games coming up,’’ he said.
‘‘Last week we just played the conditions and got the ball forward. That allowed us to play our game and dictate it a bit.
‘‘The rain was probably some of the heaviest I’ve played in, but despite being a tall forward group we are all quite mobile so it helps us on the ground.
‘‘Most blokes pulled up well from Sunday, (Xavier) Duursma will be out with his hamstring injury though.’’
Last week was Port Adelaide’s first week at the hub on the Gold Coast.
With Coronavirus travel restrictions in place in South Australia and Western Australia, the Power, Adelaide, West Coast and Fremantle were all required to enter hub life at two of the Gold Coast’s premier golf resorts in order to play four rounds of the season.
Marshall said he has adjusted well to hub life, and said it has helped the team come together even more.
‘‘The hub has been good so far, we’ve got a couple of rounds of golf in.’’
Marshall was able to get plenty of practise on the Deniliquin golf course before returning to football duties.
‘‘We’ve been well looked after and it’s been good to get away as a group,’’ he said.
The Power will be in action at 1.45pm tomorrow.
Fellow Deniliquin AFL star Sam Lloyd was in action last night when the Western Bulldogs travelled to take on Sydney.
The Dogs went into the game with some momentum, scoring their first win of the season against GWS Giants last Friday.
The Swans have been in good form, scoring an upset win against North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
