The Rovers are fresh off a big weekend, sweeping Blighty in all grades across both codes.
Rovers fourths football coach Peter Wills is excited to put his side to the test after a successful opening round.
‘‘I’m not too sure how strong Jerilderie are since we haven’t played them in a while, so it will be a good test for us,’’ he said.
‘‘We did well last week with good onballers, we don’t have a tall side but we have plenty of pace.
‘‘We will have our three girls — Shaleah and Jemika Cooper and Jerrah Caruso — continue their impactful season.’’
The Rovers were scheduled to travel to Jerilderie this weekend, however, the Demons have requested that Deni host.
Netball coordinator Nicole Jenkins said the club is looking forward to their first home game of the season.
‘‘The girls are keen and ready to go. We got in to training quickly when restrictions eased so we will look to continue our strong performance against Blighty last weekend against Jerilderie this week at home,’’ she said.
Rovers fifths (Under 11s) will miss out on a game against Jerilderie, with the Demons unable to field a side in the grade.
Instead, the fifths will play against Deniliquin Auskick participants.
Blighty football and netball coaches have had their hands full making adjustments and working on strategy to prepare for a redemption weekend as they travel to Berrigan to play the Saints.
Match times at both venues have been scheduled to start at the same time.
Footy action will kick off with fifths (Under 11s) at 10am. Starting at 11am will be the Under 11s and Under 15s netballers.
Fourths footy (U14s) will start at 11am and will be followed by the thirds (U17s) at 12.30pm.
Netball U13s and U17s will start at 12 noon.
