Class results from the event were as follows: Class A - Grant Fraser (506.19); Class B - John Londrigan (501.72); Class D - Alan Yeoman (482.84); Class E - Tony Fox (494.83); Class Junior - Rebecca Fraser (541.93).
The DSCC will look to host another race day on Sunday, August 16.
The Deniliquin Sporting Car Club also held a Junior Khanacross on the day, with junior drivers being assisted by experienced members of the club.
Three young drivers took advantage on the day.
They completed circuits of a slightly modified track — driving over some grassed areas and not the set dirt track — at a slower pace than the more senior competitors.
The juniors were not only given driving advice but got to put their skills to the test with instructors by their side to help show them the ropes.
The DSCC will again host a Junior Khanacross on Sunday, August 16 at the club’s track on Racecourse Rd.
Deniliquin Sporting Car Club members also support younger members of the community through the annual Deniliquin Driver Education Program.
New infrastructure is being added to their Racecourse Rd grounds to support the annual program, including a large shed at the rear of the track.
It is not yet clear whether this year’s program will be allowed to be conducted. It will depend on Coronavirus restrictions in place later in the year.
