The club will be hoping for typical glorious autumn weather for this popular fourball best-ball stableford event, which is sponsored by Purtills and Wired Entertainment.
There will be men’s and ladies’ 18-hole events on both Saturday and Sunday, plus 36 holes scratch and handicap over the two days.
Entry forms are available and cost $25 per day.
On course last Thursday was 9 holes stableford and 18 holes stroke. The 9-hole winner was Esther Bolton with 20 points from runner-up Pat Aitken on 19, and the 18-hole winner was Troy Grant net 71 from runner-up Kerran Leetham net 76.
Saturday was stableford with three grades. A-grade winner was Chris Mitsch, who had the best score of the day with 41 points from runner-up Neil Boswell 38; B-grade Magnus Aitken 39 from runner-up Kevin Reeves 37; and C-grade Oliver Dellwo 37 from runner-up Lachlan MacDonald 36.
In Wednesday's stableford event, the A-grade winner was Jackson Campbell with 41 points from runner-up Matt Thomas 37; B-grade Rob Wettenhall with an impressive 45 points from runner-up John Henderson 38; and C-grade Wendy Pearce 37 points on countback from Lee Pattinson.
The club’s Wednesday Junior Golf Clinics will return next Wednesday, February 25, with a five-week program offering a fun and safe environment to learn the basics through games and drills.
Clinics for primary school-age children will be from 4 pm (50-minute session), with high school age from 5 pm. Cost is $30 for the full course, with registrations closing this Sunday, February 22, at https://golf.com.au/venue/deniliquin-golf-club.

The club is also hosting junior girls coaching this year with 24 one-hour sessions led by PGA professional Jody Fleming, with support from club members.
Coming up, there is a fourball stableford aggregate event tomorrow, followed by a string of stableford events next Tuesday (9 holes), Wednesday, Thursday (9 and 18 holes), and Saturday.
The Flagstick Bistro continues to be open six days a week, from Wednesday to Monday, offering quality meals at a reasonable price, including specials and a lunch menu.
