The girls worked hard against a well-oiled machine and they didn’t make it easy for Strathmerton to come away with the win.
We welcomed Cara Woodman for her first game with Berrigan and she provided excellent strength and skill on the day.
Steph Reynaldson and Savannah Wilson fought hard and kept applying that pressure and speed in defence and definitely made Strathmerton work for it.
Miley Driscoll came up from under-17s and flew through the court, providing that speed through the midcourt we needed.

Savannah Wilson, ever the versatile player, was amazing covering both defence and attack and kept us all motivated to work hard.
Once again, Danika Campbell provided strength and intensity through midcourt, and we’re keen to get back out on the courts next week.

With a few girls out due to illness and injury, some of our C-reserve players came up on the frontline.
After a slow start finding our footing, we kicked into gear in the second quarter with great combinations and determination, leaving us winning the quarter.
Unfortunately, that was our only win for the game. The Saints never gave up despite tiredness and injury.
Chantelle Henderson was a machine after playing a full game of B-grade, and Nell Rennick and Kallee Chesshire provided great intensity in the defence.
Meg Brooks and Sam Henderson worked beautifully shooting together, and Gracie Lagudi showed off some serious miles running Centre all game.

The Saints came out firing on Saturday and applied that intensity and pressure right from the start.
Tamara Holley and Annie Cameron shot some flawless goals against a strong defence in Strathmerton and kept fighting for that ball.
Down a few players, we tried different combinations with rotation with the centre and the wings. We also welcomed Annabelle Brooks for her senior debut in the wings, and she absolutely killed it.
It was definitely a defensive game, and our coach, Nell Rennick, led by example and took out two awards for the day.

With under-17s being short on numbers, we had Miley Driscoll killing it in defence, proving size does not matter as she jumped for those rebounds and scored some impressive intercepts alongside Gracie Rice.
As always, Charlie Magill and Lucy Pyle moved with finesse in the ring, making every goal look effortless.
Maddie Rice, Annabelle Brooks and Rosie Phillips applied that same intensity through the midcourt, showing off how they read the play to anticipate passes, made some impressive intercepts and pushed through a few turnovers.
Thanks to Maddie, Lucy and Rosie for stepping up again to play two games.

Our under-13 girls were under the pump from the first whistle, finishing the first quarter down by five goals.

Under-11s: Not scored.
Our littlest Saints never gave up against the physical, well-oiled machine of Strathmerton.
They spent most of the game on the defensive end which let us showcase our aggressive game around the ring.
Our girls were very assertive with the ball and tried hard to stay in front of their players.
Congratulations to Sophie Winkie on her first under-11s game and to Ella Swan for getting another goal on the board.
