Elijah Swiggs was among Blighty's best on Saturday.
The Blighty Redeyes hosted Mathoura with something to prove, and put together a pleasing four quarter performance in the seniors.

Blighty’s defence was excellent from start to finish, led by Elijah Swiggs and Mason Coote.
Luke Charlton and Matt Macansh played pivotal roles also.
The team hope it’s the type of win that can build some momentum and go out on a positive to finish the last stretch of games ahead.

Reserves
Saturday’s result was far from the one Blighty were after, after starting flat footed and unable to arrest momentum back completely.
This was even after watching Nick Taylor's unbelievable performance in the match.
Mathoura were good enough to capitalise, albeit with some flashes from Blighty of how reserves footy is meant to look.
Taylor was probably best on ground for both sides, with Ned Danckert, Brodie Park and Blake Charlton giving other strong performances for Blighty.
Final score: Blighty 6.2 (38) def by Mathoura 16.10 (106).

Thirds
Blighty’s thirds had what was probably the team’s best game of the year.
The coach could not have been any prouder with the effort, and the execution of the game plan.
The pressure was elite, and the way the boys played possession footy was great to watch.
The backline was amazing, repelling anything that came their way.
Best on ground went to Ollie Dunmore.
Sam Conallin, Jordyn Brain, Darby Edwards, Xander Strong, Mark Godfrey and Logan Andrews also performed well for Blighty, with Logan reciving the Good Sports Award.
Final score: Blighty 6.10 (46) def Mathoura 2.4 (16).
Fourths
With no fifths game scheduled and with Mathoura being short on players, Blighty was able to give their older fifths a chance at a game.
Everyone was grateful for them stepping up to help out.
The game was played in a good manner, and Mathoura’s team will be one to watch in the future.
Clancy Grimwood was given the fifths’ Good Sports Award for being happy to help Mathoura out, and Ari Tremble was best on ground.
Other awards went to Elijah Hoskin, Bill Doherty, Nash Gordon and Lucas Hovenden.
For the fourths, Gabi Hoskin was awarded the Good Sports Award. She was happy to go over to help out Mathoura for half a game, with no complaints.
Langa Fevaleaki was best on ground playing a strong game in the centre, and Hugh Hovenden and Harlem Morgan were rewarded for their efforts in not stopping all game.
It was also great to have Andrew Frost back. He is always very consistent in helping his team out.
