Bull had a net 66 to also win C-grade, while Butcher had net 68 to win D grade.
In warm summer conditions, there were good scores recorded. A-grade winner was Hugh Sutton net 67 from runner-up Peter Joice 70; B-grade Simon Tilders net 69 on countback to runner-up Kerran Leetham, C-grade runner-up was Craig Manning net 68, and D grade runner-up was Michelle Imlach net 71.
Last Thursday was stableford with two grades. A-grade winner was consistent Kerran Leetham with 38 points on countback to Geoff McCallum, and B-grade winner was Ali Ferguson with 39 points from runner-up Leanne Mulham 38.
On Wednesday, the vast majority of a large field had early timeslots to escape the worst of the extreme heat.
A-grade winner and best score of the day was Liam Pitts with 43 points from runner-up Leigh Chappell 39, B-grade winner Adrian Mulham 38 from runner-up Geoff Bracken 36, and C-grade winner Ryan Bywater 41 from runner-up Wendy Pearce 40.
Also, over the Christmas break we missed the results from Saturday, December 20, much to the disappointment of some of those who figured on the winners’ list. It was a stableford event and A-grade winner was Neville Werner with 42 points from runner-up John Radeski 37, B-grade winner Geoff Mulham 40 points from runner-up Lachie Campbell 35, and C-grade winner Peter O’Brien with an impressive 42 points from runner-up Grace Tiri on 40.
Coming up, we have stableford tomorrow for the coveted Borella Cup and Rita Barnes Goblet. Next Tuesday is 9 holes stableford, Wednesday is stableford, Thursday is 9 and 18 holes stableford and Saturday is versus par.
Don’t forget to get your entry organised for the Life Members’ Challenge, on January 24 and 25. There will be three events and four grades, with more than $4300 in prizemoney.
