The 2026 Autumn Twilight Tennis champions Peppin Planners.
The Deniliquin Twilight Tennis autumn competition was concluded last Wednesday, with Peppin Planners facing off against the Mitre 10 team in a grand final.

It was a competitive match between two teams, which were evenly matched.
Peppin won the match and were declared the champion team, 20 sets to 17.
In the round one matches, Peppin got off to the better start winning eight sets to five, while in the second round Mitre 10 were able to claw back one set winning the round 7-6.
Peppin had a two set lead going into the third round of mixed sets.
The third round was a 6-4 win to Peppin.
Peppin’s men performed strongly with seven of them winning their three sets, while three men were three set winners for Mitre 10.
Peppin’s Jack McGrillen, playing as number two man, Mick Farley, Josh Leech, Henry Osborne, Hamish Catt, Riley Chaplin and Hugo McGrillen all won their three sets.
For Mitre 10, men’s captain Rowan Frazer, Benjy Pisasale and Tom Grant won their three sets.
Mitre 10 ladies had the best of their opposition with three players winning three sets - Pip Metcalfe, Georgia Denny and Laura Campbell.
For Mitre 10, Ruby Hicks and Mel Edwards were three set winners.
There were 26 players in each team, and in the Peppin team Monique Gordon and her sons Jack and Hugo McGrillen all played. The lads each won their three sets.
President Harley Moore was quick to thank the eight team captains for their effort in marshalling their teams throughout the competition.
He said it had been a difficult season with two weeks washed out and many players not available each week.
Each member of the winning team was presented with a medallion as a memento of their win.
Presentations were also made to the players who scored the best winning average over the competition. Each week you can win a maximum of 18 games.
The best average was a perfect 18 game average scored by Josh Leech, while Steve Todd scored 17.8 games per week and Ben Milliken was third best with 16.7 games per week.
The ladies were as equally close with Georgia Denny best with 16.6 games per week, Laura Campbell scored 16.5 games and Bella Galbraith was scoring 16.3 games.
In the junior boys, the McGrillen brothers shared the prize, both winning 16 games per week. Henry Pisasale was second with an average of 13.8 games per week.
The Spring Comp will get underway in October.
The lawn courts will not be maintained for tennis throughout winter, but the hard courts will always be available.
Lights are available on four hard courts.
