The Southern Riverina Cricket Council Steers under-13s and under-15s teams travelled to Hay on January 18 to take on the corresponding Murrumbidgee representative teams in the Eagle i 3 Rivers Cup.

The Steers claimed the cup this year, narrowly winning both matches.
The teams played two great games, with the under-13s result coming down to the last few balls.
Organisers thanked the Hay Cricket Club for their efforts in hosting and the coaches, parents and players for making the trip to Hay.
The results were as follows:
Under-13s: Murrumbidgee 6/134 def by SRCC 8/137.
The Murrrumbidgee under-13s side won the toss and elected to bat first putting on a good total from their 40 overs but the SRCC won by two wickets chasing down the total from 38.3 overs.
Best bowling figures for the SRCC Steers were Ollie East with 3/12 from eight overs, Orly Cuttriss with 1/8 from four overs and Connor Richardson 1/11 from four overs.
Top scorers for the Steers were Aarav Brar 33, Connor Richardson 19, Toby Teasdale 17 and Max Johns 17.
Meanwhile, the not out batters were Henry Pisasale 1 not out and Alby Bull who didn’t face a ball.
Under-15s: Murrumbidgee 10/130 def by SRCC 7/131.
The Murrrumbidgee under-15s team also won the toss and elected to bat first but were bowled out after 38 overs.
The Murrumbidgee total pushed the SRCC team, but it wasn’t enough as the Steers won by three wickets, chasing down the total from 22 overs.
The multiple wicket takers were Jasper Munro 3/14 from six overs, Ted Palmer 2/6 from three overs, James Bray 2/10 from four overs and Judd Cuttriss 2/29 from six overs.
The standouts in the batting for the Steers who reached double figures were Archie Chellew 69 not out and Ted Palmer with 20.
