In another huge field Darren and Sai had to work hard to get to the playoff where Darren displayed his signature calm demeanour to take his first Monday event for the season.
Sai, who is in his debut season with our club, has shown he will be a force and is clearly knocking on the door of his first ClubMulwala Snooker Club victory.
Club president Darren Thompson claimed the March Diggers Challenge on Monday, March 9.
Darren toppled Wayne Rogers in a close match after yet another huge field contested the event.
Collingwood’s victory over the Saints the previous evening no doubt inspired Darren and set him up for an excellent week.
Social nights of March 4 & 11 saw Daryl McKernan taking the choccies over Deb Harbrow and Aiden Ballantyne defeating the very close to a win Wayne Rogers.
Heartiest congratulations go to Aiden as this was his maiden victory as a member of our club, we all look forward to him enjoying many more successes.
Our youngest member in Luca Macheda fired a clear warning shot when he was victorious in the final of the Bazza’s Quirky Calendars contest over the inform Darren Thompson.
After splitting the first 2 frames, Luca powered home in the third, with a series of good breaks to claim his first victory in this event.
Luca is improving every week and his fearless attacking play and shot making augers very well for his future in our sport.

There are a variety of events held every Monday and Wednesday evening and there are plenty of opportunities for new players to join or come along to try our facilities out.
There are two excellently maintained full size tables, which have recently been re-surfaced and a new state of the art lighting system.
The snooker room is available for competition, practice and visitor use, and the club has its own regularly updated handicapping system to ensure players from beginners to advanced level can compete equally.
There are also plenty of experienced and skilled players who can help with advice and tips on how to improve your game or perhaps adapt it for those who have played pub or social pool in the past.
