Deniliquin’s chances weren’t looking any better than in round one though, with only 14 players turning up for the Blue Heelers.
Although the Blue Heeler defence held strong, Henry Taylor went over for two long range tries with another to Anthony Star for the Rabbitohs to lead 18 to zero at the break.
With Deniliquin’s defence faltering, Taylor scored another - and bombed one over the line.
Ollie Taylor scored two more as did Jasvir Singh-Clark.
Another single try was scored by Jake Wynn.
Henry Taylor also brought his kicking boots with seven goals, while Toby Hams and Anthony Star kicked one each.
Towards the end of the game, Deniliquin were awarded a penalty close to Goolgowi’s line and chose to go for goal.
They got points on the board thanks to a Bede Orr goal.
The final score was Goolgowi 54 to Deniliquin 2.
