Forty-eight players will contest the tournament over three divisions.
Most are visitors to the town, and expect to enjoy good croquet played on the six Charlotte St courts.
The courts are in excellent condition, and fine weather is predicted.
Spectators are invited to view some good croquet over the weekend.
In club play, Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 11, saw a small turnout of enthusiastic players for croquet.
Alan Higgins prevailed over Fred Littmann on a countback, with three two game achievers being Brad Fawns, Peter Whittakers and Trevor David.
There were four jump shots, with two by Fred Littmann and one each by Peter Whittakers and Alan Higgins.
Numbers were up on Wednesday when Andy Davis was declared the winner over Leo Barry, both three game winners.
The two game achievers included Rex Kernich, Marg Telford, Alan Higgins, Fred Littmann, Rod Fawns and Terry Murphy.
There were 13 jump shots, with four by Fred Littmann, three by Andy Davis, two by both Peter Whittakers and Leo Barry, and one each by Ray Moye and Trevor David.
