The 2026 Western Riverina Tennis Championships were held at the Deniliquin Lawn Tennis Courts over the four day Easter long weekend.

The action from Good Friday until Easter Monday saw a mixture of the regular visitors and returning locals, as well a few eager Deniliquin players vie for the championship in each of the categories.
The events consisted of knockout events, a veterans’ round robin event on Saturday, and round robin events on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
Registration numbers for the knockout events were slightly down on previous years.
Nevertheless, the weather all weekend provided great conditions for players and spectators alike with the club courts receiving plenty of praise and positive feedback due to their playing quality.

Open ladies’ doubles - Lucinda Cooper and Mary Middleton def Lynn Fricke and Prue Maher.
Open mixed doubles - Hayden and Lynn Fricke def Tom Wettenhall and Lucinda Cooper.
B-grade men’s singles - Tom Wettenhall def Dom Moore 8/5.
C-grade men’s singles - Eric Moore def Brodie Radcliff 8/5.
B-grade ladies’ doubles - Mary Middleton def Paula Bradley.
C-grade ladies’ singles - Georgia Foran def Ebony Blake 8/3.
B-grade men’s doubles - Tom and Rob Wettenhall def Dom Moore and Will Edge.
C-grade men’s doubles - R McKillon and A Middleton defeated A and D Hookway 6/5 (5/1).
B-grade mixed doubles - K Middleton and L Cooper were champions.
C-grade mixed doubles T Wettenhall and N Wettenhall def D Hookway and G Foran.
Under-16s girls singles - Mary Middleton def Tomsin Whitburn.
Under-14 boys - Luke McHugh was the champion.
