The Deniliquin South Public School swimming carnival saw tremendous displays of swimming, house pride and encouragement.

Held last Tuesday, students from year two to six competed in events from freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly in 50m and 100m disciplines.
The school also had senior and junior championship races and medleys before the exciting finale of the house relays.
Claiming the winning house honours with the most points was Boonoke just prevailing over other houses Mundiwa, Warbreccan and Cornalla which saw the winning house captains gladly accept the shield.
Age Champions and race winners were recognised at the end of the day as well as a few of the students, Tully Leetham, Stevie Williams and Levi Honey, who received icy poles for demonstrating particularly good effort, attitude and sportsmanship throughout the day.
