Saturday was a fourball best ball stableford which saw a number of withdrawals due to the inclement conditions.
However, it didn’t seem to bother Sarah Aitken and Jenny Swainger, who scored 44 points to win the day’s event from runners-up Denise Hunter and Chris Thomson on 43.
Last Thursday was stableford, again with a small field, with the women contesting the coveted Rita Barnes Goblet.
Best score of the day to take the Goblet was Anita Gorsuch with an impressive 41 points, two clear of runner-up Kerran Leetham on 39.
On Wednesday in the stableford event, the A-grade winner was Peter Oddy with 38 points on countback to George Willis, and B-grade winner was Phil Gatacre 39 points from runner-up Tony Kew 38.
Coming up we have a stroke event for the men’s monthly medal tomorrow, then next week it is 9 hole stroke on Tuesday, stableford on Wednesday and stroke for the ladies’ medal on Thursday. Next Saturday will be a fourball best ball stableford.
In the clubhouse the popular pasta night returns tonight, with all you can eat for $25.
This has proved very popular in the past, and tonight is likely to be no exception.
Friday Night Fun also continues, with happy hour from 6pm to 7pm and raffle tickets on sale from 6pm with draws from 7pm.
