B-grade winner was Lyn O’Brien with the best score of the day, net 68, from runner-up John Penna 75, and C-grade winner was Jennifer Adamson net 71 on countback to George Kenney-Herbert.
Last Thursday was a fourball best ball and the winners were Pauline Davis and Carol Hardman with 44 points from runners-up Jen Swainger and Marg Rothwell 43.
In Wednesday’s stableford event, there was another good field of nearly 60 players.
A-grade winner was Gary Stephens with 38 points from runner-up Barry Barlow 37, and B-grade winner was Albert Liebenberg with 40 points on countback to runner-up Peter Beckton.
On Monday, a local contingent travelled to Valley View Golf Club at Kyabram for Goulburn Valley Vets.
While there were no grade winners from Deni, featuring in the ball comp were John Radeski, Barry Barlow and John Penna.
Coming up we have a stableford aggregate tomorrow, followed next week by 12 holes 2-person ambrose on Tuesday, stableford on Wednesday, women’s Keno 2-person ambrose on Thursday and men’s Keno 2-person ambrose on Saturday.
Spring will be upon us before we know it, and that will bring lots of golfing action including the Spring Classic, Veterans Week of Golf, PGA Seniors Open qualifier and Pro-Am and the WRDGA championships, which we will host in October.
So with the weather warming up in the not too distant future, get ready for a busy time on course.
It may even be a good time to get on the driving range and sharpen the swing.
Friday Night Fun continues tonight, with happy hour from 6pm to 7pm and raffle tickets on sale from 6pm with draws at 7pm.
It will also be a Parma Night, with a range of options for only $25.
And don’t forget the dining room is also open throughout winter from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
