With the swap across to daylight saving and the lengthening days, most of the sets were played with natural light instead of the LED lighting.
There were 60 players playing in four teams, and they played 52 sets, 436 games of tennis.
Mitre 10, led by Hilary Porter and Rowan Frazer, were winners against Deni Newsagency, 15 sets and 111 games.
Newsagency, led by Ric Bond and Miranda Rose, won 11 sets and 104 games.
Jack McGrillen and Brad Aitken were three set winners for Mitre 10, while Tom Hooke and Frazer (filling in for the opposition) won their three sets for Deni Newsagency.
Legal Eagles were able to recover from the drubbing they recorded last week with a strong win against Peppin Planners.
The Eagles won 16 sets and 125 games, while Peppin won 10 sets and 96 games.
Three set winners for Eagles were Pam Wells and Sandra Campbell, while Ben Chartres was the only three set winner for Peppin.
Kate Paton was back on court as a reserve player for the first time this competition.
It was great to see the Gordon/McGrillen family of three players win seven of their nine sets.
This Wednesday, the fourth round will see a repeat of week one match ups, Peppin will play Mitre 10 and Newsagency will be playing Legal Eagles.
