Barooga are the only team the Rhinos haven’t faced yet this season.
Presenting a new-look opposition to the in-form Rhinos team, Barooga are alone in fourth on the A-grade ladder.
The Rhinos are sitting in second position on the ladder by net run rate.
They have four wins, one loss and one bye this season, with their one loss coming against Nathalia.
Meanwhile, Barooga and have two wins, two losses, a bye and an abandoned match.
The Hawks have beaten Tocumwal and Katamatite, and lost to Nathalia and Cobram.
When the two teams last played each other in a one-day match last season, the Rhinos won by 61 runs on the Barooga pitch.
Batting first, the Rhinos posted a total of 3/251 with Rhinos openers Boddie Arthur and Griegan French scoring 27 and 72 respectively.
Brodie Bennett and Harry Hillier completed the innings strongly, with Bennett finishing on 120 not out while Hillier managed 19 not out.
In reply Barooga’s captain Riyaad Henry top scored with 112 in the home side’s innings before being caught on the boundary by Monte Barnes off the bowling of Arthur leading to Barooga being bowled out for 190.
Extra ferocity was added between the two sides in last season’s semi-final, which the Rhinos won by three wickets.
French and Hillier are in top form with the bat this season, including an unbeaten 169 run partnership for the Rhinos, while Andrew Hogan is in form with the ball, taking four wickets against Katunga last week.
For Barooga, Henry is one of the league’s best in all disciplines, while Harvey Johnson with the bat and Jonathon Oliver with the ball have been their most damaging players this season.
In B-grade, the Rhinos look to get their second win for the season as they head across to Jerilderie to play the Dees.
In the under-15s, the Rhinos continue their two-day match against Katamatite at Memorial Park from 8.30am tomorrow, defending 9/146 from 40 overs.
The under-13s Rhinos travel to Tocumwal this afternoon to play the Toc Bloods.
