It was a great win for the Rovers girls against the Bears, coming out with an eight-goal win in a tough body game.
Paige Brown and Ruby Cowley were a force in goals, forming a formidable connection and accuracy with strong feeds on the outside from Hazel Glowrey and Chloe Macknight.
The defensive trio of Aria Taylor, Amy Holloway and Reagan Behsman worked tirelessly all game for turnovers and were rewarded for their hard work, disrupting the Bears’ offensive plays.
The game served as a pivotal confidence builder for the Rovers group, reinforcing their belief in their abilities and strengthening their bond as a team.

Tungamah was always going to be a tough game for the Deni Rovers and the match didn’t disappoint.
Rovers needed to come out firing and they did their best.
Great shooting and defence were exhibited with some really good intercepts and turnovers from the Rovers girls.
Identifying areas for improvement, such as passing accuracy, is essential for the continued growth and development of the Rovers team.
Securing the win, even if not overly convincing, was still a significant achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players and coaching staff. Well done.

A full range of skills that have been practised and refined at training by the Deni Rovers were put to use in the match against Tungamah.
It was the Rovers’ court-wide strong defence, accurate shooting and disciplined execution of training drills that secured a resounding victory.

It was an exhilarating match for the young Rovers team against a tall Tungamah opposition.
Turning training skills into on-court performance was rewarding to see, especially at such a young age.
The ability to execute turnovers into accurate shots demonstrated both talent and determination.
With such promising performances, it’s clear that there are some future stars in the making within the Rovers’ under-11s team.
It was a proud moment for everyone involved, from the players to the coaches and the supportive parents cheering from the sidelines.

On Saturday, the Rovers Minis hosted an interclub match, providing invaluable game experience for our under-11s team comprising 20 talented girls.
The match was characterised by exemplary sportsmanship, with top-age players actively encouraging and including the youngest and first-time players.
It was a heartwarming display of teamwork and camaraderie, reflecting positively on the entire team.
Everyone involved should take pride in their conduct and contribution to the game.
