The Wednesday clinics are the perfect way for primary school children to learn the awesome game of golf.
The five week program is all about having fun while learning, with participants given the chance to master the basics through games and drills in a safe environment, all guided by friendly local instructors.
The clinics started on Wednesday and cost is $30 for the entire program. For further information, contact Vince Kelly on 0447 109 705.
On Sunday, Deniliquin Golf Club’s division one and division two teams contested finals of the WRDGA pennant. Division One had a narrow loss 3.5 to 1.5, while Division Two had a tough day, being defeated 6.5-.5.
Although the results were disappointing, it was a great effort to make the final in both divisions. Thanks to the 22 players who made up the Deni teams in this season’s pennant.
Last Wednesday, 10 of our lady golfers travelled to Finley for the popular 2025 Pink Day, a two-person ambrose raising money for breast cancer research. Despite some ordinary weather, everyone had an enjoyable day, especially Jane Armytage and Pauline Davis who won the ladies’ division by four shots. Jane was also among the winners in the NTP prizes.

Spring will be upon us before we know it, and that will bring lots of golfing action including the Spring Classic, Veterans Week of Golf, PGA Seniors Open qualifier and Pro-Am and the WRDGA championships, which we will host in October.
So with the weather warming up in the not too distant future, get ready for a busy time on course. It may even be a good time to get on the driving range and sharpen the swing.
