Jesse claimed the Men’s State Championship with 275 points, while Beau dominated the Juvenile division, scoring 246 points to take home his state title.
Their outstanding performances highlighted the strength of local talent and thrilled the crowd throughout the day.
The AWPA Australian Whipcrackers & Plaiters Association Inc hosted the event, which saw whip tips exceeding 1,234 km/h, breaking the sound barrier and creating the signature cracking sound.
Competitors showcased precision, skill, and flair in a full day of competition.
The program began with younger whip crackers warming up spectators, followed by the accuracy section, where participants aimed to break small sticks placed on stands with pinpoint precision.
Each division then performed four set routines, plus a one-minute freestyle, while novice competitors competed in a single freestyle.
The Bullock Whip Title, using long-handled, heavy whips, tested timing, strength, and accuracy, culminating in a thrilling jackpot accuracy head-to-head knockout.
Local competitors excelled across multiple divisions:
Over 45s:Graham Jones (NSW), 1; Anthony Rennick (NSW), 2; Christie Jervis (Conargo, NSW), 3.
Jackpot Accuracy: Ashley Gardner (VIC)
