Division 1 made the trip to take on Kyabram.
Paul Snare’s rink claimed Deni’s highlight of the day with a solid 20-15 victory, showing control throughout the match.
Paul Clear’s crew battled hard but went down 11-24, while Stephen O’Brien and his team faced sustained pressure, finishing 13-24.
Despite Snare’s strong win, Kyabram proved too consistent across the board.
Division 3 hosted Moama on the Wick St greens, but found the visiting side in top form.
Stephen King’s rink was outplayed 11-30, while John Murray worked to keep his team in the contest before falling 12-21.
Both sides will aim to bounce back with improved results in the next round.
In next Tuesday’s round nine matches, Divison 1 are at home and Division 3 are away.
