In pretty ideal conditions for football, and playing in front of the Coly ground, Narrandera settled stronger early to hold Coly to two points while kicking 6.2 (38) at the first change.
From there it was a battle for the younger players in the team, but Logan Pound, Andy Fattore, Harvey Pound and Tommy DeMamiel tried hard all day against a very good opposition.
Liam Muir, Marcus Star and Andy Fattore kicked Coly’s goals with the final score reading Narrandera 27.18 (180) to Coly 3.3 (21).
Under-18s
On Sunday, the club trekked over to The Rock and took to the field in very foggy and slippery conditions.
Temora started with a strong game plan and led 2.0 (12) in the first five minutes.
Coly hit back through good team play to lead 29-12 at the first change.
Fergus Steers provided a quality target up forward in the second quarter as Coly kicked some crucial red time goals to lead by 30 points at half-time.
The Coleambally team didn’t come out after half-time very strongly. Temora were hungrier and closed to within 15 points midway through the fourth quarter.
Alex Pound, with plenty of offers from Damon Pound, had the ball on a string as he rammed home nine goals to help the team to a 16.12 (108) to 10.7 (67) win.

The team now heads to Wagga on Saturday to play Northern Jets in the Farrer League preliminary final. First bounce is 10am sharp.
