Yarrawonga men’s 9-holers

Tuesday’s warm weather had 70 players competing and Ribs Reimers won on the Blue with 20 points to head off a three-way countback challenge from Doug Fasoli, Allan Foord and Les Garbutt on 19, with Andrew Beattie leading a four-way countback on 18 from Stuart Nixon, Peter Tudor and John Dixon with balls going to 17 points on countback.

On the Red course Craig Thurston again showed that dim sims and Carlton Draught are the ideal training diet as he again took the honours for the second week running on the Red with 18 points, Brendan O'Farrell leading a three-way countback from Ron Hocking and Don Tipping, with Billy ‘the Kid’ Hidson (15), Col Rosser, Dave Hall, Terry Strickland and Mike Hope all claiming ball prizes on countback.

With no game on Anzac Day we remember John Dunstan and Stan Clarke and say thank you for your service to Kerry Pendergast, Peter Dowie, Frank Smeaton and Les Garbutt and all other members who served.
