The Bulldogs sit in second place while United is in fourth.
For Strathmerton, it has been an impressive start to the season, with the Bulldogs not losing a game since their round one defeat to ladder-leading Waaia.
Picola United has been just as impressive of late, producing a solid run of form since its nail-biting four-goal loss to Jerilderie in round six.
Strathmerton coach Olivia Osborne said it was going to be another strong, tough game.
“We had a nice hit-out against Jerilderie last week so hopefully we can keep the run-on and get the four points again this week,” Osborne said.
“It’s the first time all year that we’re going to have a full side in A-grade, Vanessa Ward is back this week, she had a baby earlier this year so we’ve got a full side.
“We haven’t played together as a full side yet so it will just be about working out our combinations again and hopefully we’re strong enough to get a win.
“But we do know it’s going to be a tough game this week, we can’t underestimate what Picola will bring because they have played some good games.”
Osborne said it was exciting the full side would be back in action this week.
She said Grace Thompson would be a player to look out for this weekend, with the wing attack training well after a strong game against Jerilderie.
“And Emily Buzza, she’s been shooting really consistently so I think those two should have a good game this week,” Osborne said.
Strathmerton’s game against Picola United will get under way on Saturday at 1.30pm.
In other A-grade netball action, Tocumwal will welcome Tungamah and Katandra will host Blighty.
Mathoura will travel to Katunga, while Rennie and Jerilderie will do battle.
Meanwhile, the undefeated Waaia will play the fifth-placed Katamatite, while Deni Rovers have a week off.
