It is encouraging past and prospective members to join in 2026, with memberships now due ahead of the Anzac Day race meeting.
President Sam Hall said email reminders have been sent to members and encouraged these people to renew, which will play an important role in ensuring the club has a successful 2026, continuing its work to provide a safe and enjoyable racing experience for participants and patrons.
The club will again host its two traditional meetings this year – the first will be the Diggers Cup meeting on Anzac Day, and the Deniliquin Gold Cup meeting in October, which coincides with the time-honored Caulfield Cup and the Everest race day at Randwick.
“Membership funds help the club provide two days of quality horse racing and social activities while maintaining existing infrastructure and continuing our ongoing improvement program,” Hall said.
“The club is keen to increase the number of members to support our ongoing success and provide quality race days for our region and visitors.”
Membership is $50 for the year which entitles members to entry on both race days and a ticket in the $500 lucky members draw at the October Cup Day meeting.
Anyone interested in buying a membership can call Col McMahon 0428 266 730 or email deniliquinracingclub@gmail.com.

The club is looking forward to a positive 2026.
It has completed three major projects in the last 12 months, thanks to grants and community support.
The first was upgrading the water main which services watering of the track. This was a critical project that will increase the efficiency of watering and help the club maintain the turf track.
The project was funded by a grant from the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund and a contribution from the Racing Club.
The second project was installing a solar system for the irrigation pump, which was partly funded by a grant from the ClubNSW grants scheme, through the club’s major sponsor Deniliquin RSL, and will provide savings on electricity costs moving forward.
The Racing Club also installed new PVC running rail for the entire inside rail of the track. Materials were provided by Racing NSW, and removal of existing rail and installation of the new rail is being carried out by the club, with the support of Todd Gallagher Contracting.
This project will increase the safety of horses and jockeys which is a priority for all race clubs.
These projects will help the club to continue providing first class facilities for horse racing and help it attract more horses for both race days.
“We had a very successful year of racing in 2025, and with ongoing support from our community through membership and sponsorships, we look forward to an exciting year in 2026,” Hall said.
