This was a must-win game for us, and we were determined to bring energy and intensity from the opening whistle.
The girls delivered exactly that, getting off to a flying start and setting the tone early. To Echuca's credit, they refused to lie down.
The first 10 minutes of each quarter were outstanding, but we let our energy slip during the final five minutes, allowing Echuca to stay within striking distance.
The last quarter was intense and closely contested, but we showed great composure to hang on for a well-deserved win.

The defensive combination of Alice Circuitt and Ava Marshall proved effective against the Echuca goalers, well supported by Georgia Henderson and Brydey Maher on the defensive wing.
Bella Hillier was solid as always through the midcourt, leading with strength and feeding with precision into the goalers.
Zoe Circuitt was also on song in goals.
With only two goals in the game at the three quarter break, the girls were well and truly in the game until the final whistle.
