The come up against Cobram in the Murray League preliminary finals this Saturday, from 10.45am at the Finley Recreation Reserve.
The under-17s have been in good form, having won five games in a row. This includes two knockout finals, both by 54 points.
It capped off a strong home and away season for the team, who finished with 11 games won, six lost and one draw to finish fourth on the ladder.
However, to reach the grand final, they have a tough preliminary final assignment against minor premiers Cobram.
In the under-17s football, Cobram have won the premiership the last three years.
But the Rams will be out to prevent a fourth.
Before last weekend’s 26 point semi-final loss to Moama, Cobram had only lost one other game this season - also to Moama by 16 points - but finished on top of the ladder due to percentage.
In the last match-up between the under-17s Rams and Tigers, Cobram were winners at home by 123 points.
Since then, the Rams have had several inclusions and will be hoping the additions make the difference in the prelim.
The winner will play Moama in the grand final next Saturday, Septmber 19, at Moama.
