Rivah attends Deniliquin North Public School and will travel to Batemans Bay to compete at state level of school competition.
There were about 30 students who took part in the Riverina Golf Championships held last Monday at Thurgoona Golf Club.
Rivah played in the nine hole championship, displaying the positive traits asked of a Riverina representative.
She was invited to continue playing in a further few holes with a number of other students, highlighting her “give it a go attitude”.
Rivah was selected as part of a six member Riverina Golf team to take part in the NSW PSSA Golf Championships at Batemans Bay in September.
The selected team will take part in both an ambrose and 36 hole competition over three days.
Rivah said she is feeling “very excited and nervous about her selection”, but she is looking forward to the challenge.
Her preparation will consist of trying to get out to the Deniliquin Golf Club course at least three times a week, to get her chipping and putting sorted.
Proud dad Ross Taylor said “a few lessons from Jodie Fleming along the way will help immensely as well”.
